Earring wires

Chains
Chain may be used to add a different style to a design. Chain can also be used as a connector or as a decorative element; it comes in a wide range of metals and styles.

Cones
Cones are usually made of metal and they look like ice cream cones, with openings at both ends. They are ideal for concealing the ends and knots of a multistring necklace or bracelet.
STRINGING MATERIALS
Wire
Wire is used to make loops and eye pins to to wrap beads. The smaller the gauge, the thicker the wire. Flexible beading wire is fine wire that has been twisted or braided together and covered with a plastic coating, it comes in a variety of materials and sizes, the weight determines better the type of wire that needs to be used in the project.

Beading cords and threads
These are available in different materials (natural or synthetic), colors and thicknesses. Leather may be used for casual and simple designs, and thread for stringing pearls.

Elastic
Mainly to be used in bracelets, elastic beading cord is a very versatile material and great for easy beading projects, as there are no tools required. Great to be used in kids projects (always under adult supervision).
Elastic comes in a variety of colors and thicknesses.

Memory wire
Memory wire is steel spring wire, it’s used for coil bracelets, necklaces and rings, and thus you can find it in different sizes. This material is very hard to cut, and special memory wire shears are needed.

TOOLS
Flat pliers
These pliers have smooth, flat inner jaws; some have a narrower tip to pick on small spaces. With this pliers you can hold, press down, close and open rings and use them as help in combination with other tools. Jewelry flat pliers don’t have ridges on their jaws.

Round nose pliers
Round nose pliers have smooth, tapered, conical jaws and are mainly used to form loops in wire. Choose the one’s with a narrow jaw so you can turn small loops when needed.

Wire cutting pliers
Wire cutters are found on diagonal and straight cutting tips. Diagonal cutting pliers are used to cut fine metal wire, such as beading wire up to a certain thickness. Straight cutting pliers may cut thicker wire. Before buying your pliers, ask our staff which are the most appropriate wire cutters for the type of wire you are using. Never use a jewelry wire cutter on memory wire, which is extremely hard. Memory wire requires its own special plier.

Crimping pliers
These specialized pliers have two grooves in their jaws, one presses an indentation into the crimp bead, and the other folds the crimp into a compact, cylindrical shape. These pliers help you give a professional finishing touch to your creations. You may also use flat pliers and give the crimp a different flat look.

Knotting plier
Knotting pliers are used to knot silk or very thin thread. Pearl stringing usually requires of such plier.

Bead reamer
This is a very useful tool when a bead perforation is not wide enough to get the thread or wire through it. It comes with different thickness tips to ream a bead depending on the size needed.

Beading board
Beading design boards are a good tool that helps you visualize a design before you begin stringing. They come in different sizes and styles.
